Week 5: My Last P-Day in Mexico!! 6/2/2022

Hola!!!! Elder Weese here with another email for y'all! Sorry I still can't seem to figure out pictures, haha but we are getting there! Anyways, how is everybody doing!? My week went by really fast as they always seem to do! Just lots of classes! They are cracking down on the Spanish haha so I am basically fluent now, JK I am far from that haha! We do have a test on Saturday!! I will have to listen and repeat what somebody says to me, then they will ask me to talk about these random topics as much as I can in Spanish for a certain amount of time. They are so random! I did a practice yesterday and I talked with the guy about pollution. I don't even know how to say pollution in Spanish!! But I guess I did better than I thought because he was impressed with it, so that's a positive right there!

This week was a good week!! So we have these devotionals every Tuesday and every Sunday here with all the missionaries in the CCM. This one was special for me, because they asked me to conduct the meeting! It was a little scary because you have to conduct in Spanish, but with the power of prayer everything is possible!! It went by really well! Speaking of devotionals, we have one tonight, so my pday is going to be shorter than usual! It is really cool because we have Sister Johnson from the general primary presidency coming, Sister Bingham from the general relief society, and Sister Aburto who is also in the general relief society presidency. It should be way cool! I am excited about it!

Yesterday I got my flight plans for Argentina!! I am leaving on Monday morning and all I know is that the plane takes off at 10 AM so I am assuming I have to be up and going pretty early in the morning! It will be fun because all of the missionaries headed to Argentina will be flying out together to Buenos Aires! It will also suck because the flight is over 9 hours long haha soooo I gotta figure out what I will be doing for that long on the plane! I feel like I want to try my Spanish with somebody on the plane, but at the same time I know I will go blank and will not have a clue about what is going on haha!

Today was my last day going to the Mexico City Temple!! I am looking forward to coming back here and going again and again, because that is a beautiful temple!! The Mexico City temple is the largest temple outside of the U.S!! It is cool sitting in those sessions being able to understand them in Spanish! But when the going gets tough, they do have headphones if you want to listen in English! But all around it is a fun time!

Well that basically sums up my week! I love all of you guys! Your prayers and support are definitely felt, and always remember that you all are in my prayers! Stay safe fellas! Love ya!

Love, Elder Weese
