Hola a todos!!! How was everybody 's week!? Well the first week for being a misionero por La Iglesia De Jesucristo De Los Santos De Los Últimos Días went by way fast! I am doing the online MTC or CCM classes and there is so much information to soak in! But I can tell you right now it truly has been an incredible, humbling experience for me and I have loved it! My district is fantastic! There are 6 people in the district, counting me, and I love all of them! I know that Heavenly Father wanted all of us to be together! My companion is amazing! Elder Richardson!!! He lives in Oklahoma and he is going to be a fantastic missionary! I can honestly say he is truly like a brother to me!! But it is so sad that he is not going to the same mission as I am, but I know he will bless so many lives because he has already changed mine! I can't wait to meet all of them at the CCM! I have one more week of training at my house, then I fly out to Mexico on May 10 where I can meet mi compañero and my district, I am stoked for that!
Well this week has been full of zoom calls, zoom calls, and some more zoom calls! The classes are taught en Español so that makes it a lot easier to pick up the language! The teachers that I have had have been amazing!! They are full of the spirit and I know that they are led by that same spirit! This week we have talked about the gift of tongues, El Donde Lenguas!!!! The gift of tongues is truly incredible, and enables us to spread the gospel to every creature on this earth!! I know that it is real without a doubt in my mind! It has helped me understand what is being taught, it has helped me to communicate to the best of my abilities, and I have seen it work miracles! Isn't it so incredible, to have a power like that!?
I have really enjoyed this experience because it has pushed me to find ways where I can feel the spirit. I want to share with all of you, how you can all find ways to feel the spirit!!
1. Scripture study. Scripture study is needed! It helps you find answers to your prayers, it can make your day feel just a little bit more positive, it can truly transform your life!
2. Pray always!! We need to pray always because we need to always have God included in our lives! He truly cares about what you have going on, what scares you, what makes you so happy, your wants, your needs, EVERYTHING! Always have a prayer in your heart throughout the day and I PROMISE YOU that you will find peace and comfort everyday!
3. Kick out all of the negative thoughts, and love yourself! I am still learning how to do this better! My dad has talked about this one with me quite a bit. He said that negative thoughts are like a bird landing on your head, you can't control that the bird wants to land on your head, but you can control if the bird decides to build a nest there! Negativity comes from satan!! Don't let him control you, kick him out and think about something positive!
4. Doubt your doubts, before you doubt your faith. This is the fourth and final one that I'll give ya'll! Don't doubt your faith that there is a loving Heavenly Father who truly wants you to be happy! Don't doubt your faith that Jesus Christ and His atonement is for YOU! Don't doubt your faith that prayer brings miracles!
Well my friends that will conclude this email! I hope all is well with all of you! I want to share my testimony with you all, I know this church is true! I know that the gospel brings peace and direction to our lives. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you all so much! They really do!! Whether you feel like you are a sinner or a saint, they love you either way! I know that the Book of Mormon will answer prayers! Every answer that you need to find can be found in that book! I know that the gift of tongues is real! I know that if we all put in the effort to find true happiness, it can be found and we can be happy!! I want all of you to be happy! You deserve it!! Anyways I'll give you a quote, "Worthiness is not flawlessness, worthiness is being honest and trying." I love you guys!! I hope you have an amazing week! Hasta luego mis amigos!
