Week 25: 6 months as a missionary!! 10/25/2022

Hola a todo! Cómo están!? Espero que están disfrutando el clima frío porque lo extraño jajaj!! Es un poco calor acá en Aimogasta ahora!

Well as you can see by the title, and probably by my Facebook post yesterday, I hit 6 months as a missionary. The feeling of that is so weird to me because I started to reflect and look back on my mission, it all seems like it has been a dream! Time just flew by so fast!!!

Now I can explain a little bit of why I am emailing on Tuesday and not Monday haha! We had a zone conference in La Rioja which is a 2 hour bus ride from Aimogasta! It went really well! I learned a lot, I ate empanadas, and I got to see some of my all time favorite missionaries! I'll be throwing in some of the pics I took at the end of this email!

Now onto talking about my week in Aimogasta! Well it is VERY HOT! Summer will be starting up here pretty soon, I ain't looking forward to that at all hahah! I am getting very brown, so now when I talk to people they all think I am from Brazil because of how dark I have gotten haha!

This past week went well!!! We are still helping Lucas Peñaloza prepare for his baptism which will be on Sunday! He is very excited about it and so are we! Elder Porter and I are still trying to strengthen the ward here, there are many members but none of them go to church so a lot of the focus has been member visits and trying so hard to get some of them to come back.

We met some amazing people this past week that we are starting to teach! All of them seem to be progressing and doing the things we ask them to do, I just continue to pray that they will stay strong and keep doing those things!

One thing that we did a lot was teach about the plan of salvation. That has to be my favorite lesson to teach because you watch these people light up when they figure out how they have a loving Heavenly Father, a purpose here on the earth, and can live with their families again someday in the presence of God and Jesus Christ.

The plan of salvation is so perfect! Because God loves us so much, He made this plan and we all agreed to it. That is why we are here on the earth! We chose Jesus Christ! We chose to follow Him and use His Atonement everyday through our faith in Him, and repentance. I have been able to see a lot more clearer this plan working in my life. Repentance is not just an one time deal, it's not only used when you commit serious sins, repentance is a change! We change our hearts, our desires, and our minds. We turn towards God and ask for His help, and promise to follow Him. When we do thus everyday, that is how you make it back to the presence of our Heavenly Father. That is how we can all live with our families someday! Thank goodness for Jesus Christ and His Atonement!!

Well I want you all to know that I love you a lot! I invite you all to practice daily repentance, I can promise you that you WILL see miracles unfold in your life! You will be so much happier, you will desire to do good continually! The next thing you have to do when you repent, IS MOVE ON! Put the past behind you, just leave it! I know it may be hard, trust me I know, but it will save you so much heartache when you are able to do it!

Like I said, I love you! God loves you! I know that this is His work, we are all a part of the plan😊😊 Please send me emails! I want to know how all of you are doing!! Go give Satan a punch in the mouth for me this week! I love you!
