Week 62: Baptism week!! 7/17/2023

Howdy everybody!! How was your week!? I hope things are going well for ya'll in the USAAA!

This week was great!! We focused 100% of our efforts helping our friend Zoé be baptized and she finally made it!! The baptism was incredible!! She was very excited and invited a lot of family to come and see so we got to meet a lot of them! One of her cousins told her that she wanted to be baptized too so we will be focused on that haha!!

I also spoke in church on Sunday before the baptism! I spoke about the talk "Have I truly been forgiven" which was given in April of 2023. Definitely a talk that is very close to my heart! If yall havent heard it I highly recommend it!
This week we also had a lot of exchanges! We went to San Francisco which is pretty far from here!! Ill make sure to through in the pictures that I took from that into this email!!

I appreciate the support that yall are giving me! The prayers are definitely answered and I have been able to see all the miracles from it! Anyways Ill cut her off here, make sure to send me an email today!! I love yall!! Have a wonderful week!

Love, Élder Weese

Week 61: Howdy!! 7/10/2023

Howdy everybody!! How ya'll doing? I hope you all had a wonderful week!!

My week went by really fast!! We had zone conferences this week and also did some exchanges so it makes the week go by so fast!

We are very focused on helping our friend zoé be 100% ready for her baptism and things are going very well! She will be baptized on Sunday so please keep her in your prayers!!

I gotta end this real quick haha I gotta get to bed but I love yall, I hope yall have a wonderful week!

Love, Elder

Week 60: Happy July!!! 7/3/2023

Howdy folks!! How's life going? I hope all is well in Zion!

I’m doing great down here in the wonderful country of Argentina!! Just absolutely loving the work, my companion, the mission, everything!! This week was a very good week!

Right now we are focused in on helping our friend Zoé get baptized on the 16 of July! So I ask that yall keep her in your prayers, always! She is progressing very well though!! She has made a lot of friends with the other kids in the primary and her mom is in contact with the ladies in the ward everyday😁

Diego!! The boxer we baptized just got ordained a priest and will be blessing the sacrament on Sunday!! He also just got his temple recommend so he'll be ready to go as soon as possible!! Sadly he is planning on moving to Buenos Aires in a month and a half so the ward will miss him a lot!

We are teaching a lot of people right now but few are progressing so that's been a little bit of the struggle is getting them to take certain steps and make certain changes in their lives. But I do have a lot of faith that the Lord will continue to help.

So this week we had a leadership counsel in Córdoba so we all got together with the other zone leaders and talked about how we could help our zones! I want to share something that caught my attention during the counsel. We watching a talk from Elder Uchtdorf and he explained very well why we do what we do as missionaries. We are here to help strengthen the wards so that when we leave, they will be unified and will be able to continue growing. I have been very focused on setting goals with my companion on how we can better unify the ward down here in Bell Ville!!

Anyways I love you all!! Let me know if you need anything!! Have a wonderful 4th of July tomorrow!! I'll talk to yall next week!!

Love, Elder Weese

Week 59: Email’s Working!! 6/23/2023

Howdy folks!! The email is finally working now!! Haha now I can talk to ya'll finally!! I hope everything back home is going well!!

Well this week was great!! Elder Cunningham and I are really focused in on finding new people to teach and we are having some luck with it!! (Also it was transfer week and the both of us are staying so I am stoked about that!)

Right now we are teaching some people with a lot of potential!! If yall could add the names Johanna, Alexis, German, Marta, Lucía, Matias, Mateo, and Cintia to your prayers that would be great!!

On Sunday our friend Zoé came to church with her mom Magali!!! Zoé is 9 and will be getting baptized on the 9 of July!! Her mom has been a member for a long time and hadn't come to church for over 14 years!! So it was pretty great to see them inside the church building!!

That basically sums up my week!! It is insane to think of how fast the mission is going by! It's also crazy to see all of the boys who just got home haha!! Anyways have a wonderful week everybody! Please be safe and always remember that God needs you here!

Week 58: Joaquin‘s Baptism 6/19/2023

Email is still broken!

Howdy everybody! Sorry I haven't been able to reach out to any of ya, my email is still broken! Who knows, maybe I'll just have to have my mom work my email for the rest of my mission haha!

This week was really good!! It was very focused on helping Joaquin get all prepped for his baptism! So we went by his house 3 or 4 times during the week to teach him everything!!

It was also the last week of the transfer! Tomorrow we will be getting transfer news so we'll see where I am headed to next haha!

We are teaching some really good people right now and the growth of Bell Ville has been awesome to be a part of!! The baptism of Joaquin was incredible to be a part of! I'll make sure to throw all the pictures in the email!

I am very grateful for the love and support I have been getting from all of you!! I hope things are great back home!!

Have a wonderful week!!

Love, Elder Weese

Week 57: Bautismo Diego Ramello 6/12/2023

Howdy everybody!! How was your week? I hope things are going well for y'all back home! Sorry if you all emailed me and I didn't write back, I am having problems with my Google account that I am trying to figure out so it's not letting me send anything. So my mom is gonna send this email to yall!!

This week was really good!! It was the last week of preparing our friend Diego for his baptism! He had so many temptations but oh my goodness he is just such a strong guy! He told us how when bad people would try to come inside his house to do drugs, smoke, or whatever it may be he would always tell them to leave. He is not about that life anymore. What an absolute testimony of using the atonement in your life, and laying down your past!

It has been tough finding people to teach in our area. We have been looking and haven't been having a whole lot of success but my companion and I have a lot of high hopes for this week!!

We have been dropping a lot of people due to no progression and what not. For example my last companion and I, were teaching a big family of 12. We had so many hopes for them but they would not come to church! We did everything we could do but no result. Elder Cunningham and I stopped by on Saturday to try and teach them and get them to church, finding them all drunk with a pastor in their house. When I tell you when you could literally feel the spirit just disappear as you walked into the house, I don't think I have ever felt it like that until we went there that day.

But like I said at the start of the email we were prepping Diego all week for his baptism and he made it!! It was an incredible experience to be able to baptize him and just see the pure joy in his eyes. His daughter who is just over a year old came to the baptism too!! It was his first time seeing her in 5 months!!

But that basically describes my week!! This weekend we will be baptizing our friend Joaquin so if you can all keep him and his family in your prayers it would be fantastic. Trust me, I am witnessing the miracles that come from your prayers!!!

I love you all!! Have a wonderful week! Chau!!

Week 56: Baptism Week 6/5/2023

Howdy everybody! How was your week!? I hope things are going well back home for yall!!

This week we had Nancy's baptism!! What a special day it was!! Truly something that is going to stick with me for forever!! I'll throw the pics in the email!!

We have been preparing Diego for his baptism which will be on Sunday!! I can't wait!! The mighty change that we have seen in this guy has been insane! I am so happy for him and seeing the excitement on his face makes it all great!!

We are working very hard here in Bell Ville just seeking the miracles! It is a grind but I sure do love it! My companion is great and helps me a ton!! His name is Elder Cunningham and he is from Arizona!! He's 22 and has about 6 months or so on the mission. Truly a powerful missionary!!

I love you all!! Have a wonderful week and let me know if I can do anything for yall!! God loves you, and He loves every effort you put into things!!

Chau!
