Week 49: Bell Ville’s Dope 4/17/2023

Howdy everybody!!! How was your week!? I hope everything is going well back home! Y’all are always in my prayers!

This week went by really fast!! It started off by learning my new area, and I am still in that process but that's ok!! Bell Ville is a little town about 3 hours south of Córdoba! It is very beautiful over here and there are a ton of horses on the street so it makes me a little homesick haha. But we started things off really good!!! We have been visiting a lot of members which has been a really good thing because a lot of part member families have been found in the process! There are about 500 members here, probably more, but about 30 of them come to church so there is A TON of work to do haha!!

We had exchanges this week with the AP's! Elder Bunker and Elder Gardner are just the best! I learned a lot and had some really cool experiences with Elder Gardner. I had a goal to be more spirit led so we worked for that! For example we marked an area on the map we wanted to visit because missionaries haven't gone there much. When we got there I told Epder Gardner I wanted to pray and ask for guidance before we went in, so that's what we did! We then looked at the map and picked a street we wanted to walk down. The first few contacts were an instant no, then we had one where we taught the guy the entire restoration and he just simply didn't accept it, and then there were a few more no's after that. That is until we went to the last door on the street to end the day to look for a part member family, a guy named Leo opened the door. Turns out the part member family didn't live there but Leo had a lot of questions of the afterlife so he asked us to come in. Leo is 19 or 20 years old, he is in the police and lives with his mom and dad. We taught him the plan of salvation and he loved it! In fact he loved it so much he asked us to come back before we even offered! What a miracle right!?

We also had some exchanges with my old companion Elder Krupp and his companion Elder Camargo. I went with Elder Camargo and we decided to do the same thing. We weren't having a whole lot of success so I told Elder Camargo let's pray! So we did! We went over to a little store where he knew a girl worked that had interest in listening! We went there and she talked to us for 2 seconds and then went to the back and kept working so we left, as we were walking I told Elder Camargo we should go back and get her number at least. As we were standing on the sidewalk, deciding what to do I noticed a girl standing in her door frame staring at us. So I told Elder Camargo, let's go talk to her! As we were talking her mom came out to listen and they told us how they have always seen the missionaries but they never knocked on their door! They loved the restoration and the idea of prophets! Another miracle!!

I'm gonna cut her off here! I hope yall will seek miracles everyday and pray for them, I promise that they are there, we just have to exercise our faith by our actions!! Have a wonderful week everybody!

Week 48: Emergency Transfers!! 4/10/2023

Howdy everybody! How are ya'll doing? Hope the week was good in the snow hahah sounds like y'all are still buried right now! Things here in Argentina are going really good!!!

To start this, I had my companion Elder Gardner for about a week and last pday we got a phone call saying that I was going to be transferred! My area now is Bell Ville and it is about 3 hours south from the city of Córdoba! My new companion is Elder Abrea and he is from Buenos Aires! It was very hard to say goodbye to everybody in Guiñazu, but I know the Lord has things prepared for me here in Bell Ville!!

So on Wednesday and Thursday we were in the city because we had a few conferences with Shane Littlefield from the mission department. Honestly he hyped everybody up so I have been ready to grind and grind!! On Wednesday night I got to go through the temple which was really cool!! I highly recommend it if you haven´t made it a habit yet, do it. I promise that you will have experiences that are so special that you´ll never forget!

So since Friday I have been able to work in Bell Ville! It is a ward that has had a lot of unfortunate things happen so we have been trying to help build it back up. We are receiving help from the members and there are many members to visit!

To end this I want to write a couple little miracles that we had this week. One was that we were walking on the street one day and there was a little girl standing outside of her house! She said hey elders!!! We said hello and were about to walk aways when Elder Abrea looked at her and asked if her parents were home and she said yes. So we asked her to bring them outside, and she did! Her mom came out and told us how she has seen the missionaries walk by before but they never stopped to talk to her, so we invited her to listen to the message!! During the lesson, 6 more people from that house came outside and listened to us!! We ended up teaching this really big family about Joseph Smith and the restoration and invited them to listen to us again! We will be swinging by tonight!!!

Another one happened on sunday! As missionaries we pray, a lot! We prayed for success in the church building and the Lord provided. A member brought his neighbor to church with him and she told us she loved it!! We showed her around the church building after and she told us how good everything felt and was excited to come back next sunday! So on Friday we will be getting together with her and some of the members to eat and to teach her a little more!!

I share these because 1 I want to prove that the Lord loves all of us and 2, to thank my dad. Like I said at the start I was really sad to leave Guiñazu and I talked about that with my family. My dad told me to keep my eyes open because the Lord has things waiting for me in Bell Ville. I truly have been finding the things He has, and I know there are more!!

Have a wonderful week!!

Love, Elder Weese

Week 47: General Conference!! 4/3/2023

Howdy everybody!! How was your week? Mine went really good especially since general conference happened this weekend!! I hope that all of you had the chance to see it and if you didn't I invite you to do so!!!

My week was crazy!!! We have been so busy helping my companion learning the area and starting off strong with the members!!! This week went really well though!!! One of the families we are teaching will be going hopefully tomorrow to get a marriage date!!! So keep the Inga family in your prayers PLEASE!

The members have been great!!! They have been helping us so we just keep using the help we can get!! Honestly this is the best way to gather Israel is through the members!! Literally you don't have to wear a plaque to testify of Jesus Christ!!! When we are baptize we covenant with God to serve Him and that is done by sharing His gospel with our brothers and sisters!!!

Today I got blind sided though.... I got a call saying that I am being emergency transferred to an area called Bell Ville to be a zone leader again. My new companion will be Elder Abrea who is from Argentina and I believe that he has the same amount of time as I do in the mission. It was sad getting the call because I don't want to leave Guiñazu, but this isn't my work, it's the Lord's and I will go where He wants me to go.

Anyways I hope you all are happy and healthy!!! Let me know if I can do anything for ya, I'm just an email away! Have a great week!!!

Love, Elder Weese

Week 46: Exchanges with my dad!! 3/20/23

Howdy everyone! How was the week for yall? I hope things back home are going well!!

Things down here have been all over the place! During the week we had an elder in the zone go home early so it was tough to see that. But despite that trial we were able to put in some work this week!

We put our friend Maxi on date again!! His family is finally coming back to church so he will be baptized this Saturday!!

We went on exchanges with the APs! I got to go with my dad Elder Scott!!! It was a good time! We saw lots of miracles and worked really hard. I had the best trainer anybody could have, he's so cool!!!

The organization in the branch is getting better and we have more people willing to help us with the missionary work. The Lord is definitely blessing Guiñazu!!

We gotta work hard this week!! It's the last week of the transfer do we gotta lock down and focus!!

Have a wonderful week everybody!! Sure do love ya!!

Love, Elder Weese

Week 45: The Power of the Restoration 3/13/2023

Howdy everybody!! How are you all doing? I hope things back home! I hear that the snow just keeps on dumping down! If ya'll want you can come down hear to Argentina, it's a little bit warmer!

This week went well! We did a few exchanges and were able to get things done! Even though on the first exchange of the week the companion I had was throwing up so we had to stay inside the house all day. Despite that being against us, we had a great lesson with Telma and Dante! I don't know if you remember them but they are from an area called Patricios. The Elders were in the super market one pday and she approached them saying how she was interested. I had the wonderful opportunity of being able to baptize her! Anyways we talked about temples with her and she is really interested. She is excited to start preparing to get her endowements and to be sealed with Dante as well! We just told her to keep her eye on the prize!

The next day was another exchange where I got to go with a new missionary named Elder Lilly! He is from Arizona and yes, he knows where Wickenburg is! I told him that town has a special place in my heart haha! But the exchange with him went really good! We found a couple awesome families that seem interested in listening!

Alright to explain the title a little bit, I want to share with ya'll an experience that Elder Neilson and I had. So we have been letting the members in the ward, teach us! What we do is we teach them a part of the lesson and then we set a return appointment and ask them to study the rest of the lesson in Preach My Gospel, and then to teach us what they learned. Yesterday we did it with our ward mission leader and his wife, who both served missions. It was so cool watching the spirit hit them as they testified of the restoration. They told us after how cool of an experience that was to be able to do that, just like they did in their missions! So there´s an idea for ya if you wanna tell the missionaries to start doing that!

Anyways I will cut her off here!! I love you all! I invite you all to participate in the Lords work of gathering His lost sheep! (John 21) You don´t have to wear a plaque to say the name! Have a wonderful week!
