Week 84: Merry Christmas 12/25/2023

 Merry Christmas everybody!!

Howdy everybody! How are ya!? I hope Christmas is going super great for yall! I've been waiting for the snow to fall but for some reason it keeps getting hotter down here in Argentina🤔🤔🤔 send me an email though, I wanna know how yall are doing!!

Well my week was excellent!! Full of miracles! We are finding some more families to teach here so we need a lot of prayers to help the parents get married!!

Élder Johnson and I were walking down the street one day and we saw something on the sidewalk, as I got closer I was like oh its a dead mouse. Then, doing what must boys do, I touched it haha. Then I realized it was a bat and that it was not dead yet haha so then it spread its wings to try and get away haha. We were both like woah, that was kind of crazy! Then 10 more steps down the road we found a Beatle as big as my palm haha😂 Only in Argentina folks, only in Argentina!

Well this weekend we had a very special Sunday!! Luz Paula and Nair Zoe got baptized!! What a special experience it was!! They had their families come over and watch so it was pretty cool to be able to see the spirit touch them!! Now we just need to get Luz's parents married and Zoe's parents married!! Then they will also be baptized!!

Last night for Christmas Eve we went over to Kyle's apartment to eat dinner with him, Eliana, and Eliana's sister with her husband and kids! We always eat some of the healthiest food over there its insane! We ate vegetables on a stick with cut up meat, etc. It was a good time!

Well have a Merry Christmas everybody! I love you all, and thank you all for the prayers and support😊 Qué tengan una excelente semana! Chau Chau

Week 83: Christmas Conference 12/18/2023

"In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost."

Howdy family and friends! How are yall doing? I hope that things are going well for yall!!

Well this week was a tough one not gonna lie! Our two baptisms that we were gonna have fell through. Ana Cabrera fell off the face of the earth, we don't know what happened, we could just never find her. José Aguirre is the reason why I put the quote of Pres Nelson in the email. He was progressing very good!! But then he decided to do some research on the internet about the church and got into a bunch of anti. He completely lost his testimony that was growing, and then began to bash us. Told us that we were "brain washed" by our parents so that's why we go to church. He said that Joseph Smith was a fake, that he lied, and many things that I don't want to put on this email.

Through those experiences I learned 2 things.
1) We need a testimony, or we will not survive. It is impossible to live off of somebody else's testimony. We need to have a spiritual confirmation of these things, and we need to keep strengthing our testimonies.

2) I learned that I have a pretty strong testimony. In the moments when José was bashing us, I just felt a love for the prophet Joseph Smith. Joseph Smith was NOT a fake. He was a prophet, chosen by God to restore the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ. I KNOW IT! The spirit of the Lord has made it known unto me. Nothing will ever make me doubt that.

After reading about those experiences, I want to invite you all to strengthen your testimonies daily. Do the small things that truly make a big difference. If you don't have a testimony, follow the counsel of the Savior. "Seek, and ye shall find"

This week we also went to Córdoba for a Christmas conference! It was so good to see some old companions!! I only have 2 more conferences, then I am home☹️
(Thank you for the packages mom, Tiff, and Karli😊. Yall are the best!)

Well I want to leave yall with a message of peace and upliftment. I know that the Savior lives, and I KNOW that He forgives sin. As our apostle Elder Holland said, "It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s [atoning sacrifice] shines." Please remember that. Allow Him to forgive you, I promise it is not worth it to carry that load alone. He can carry it with you. I know that President Nelson is a prophet and that as we follow his counsel we will aline ourselves with God's will. Follow his counsel of "Think Celestial"! I love you all, I bear witness of the reality of our Savior and of our Heavenly Father. They are real!!! I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ, amen

Love, Elder Weese

PS- I also got to go to the temple this week!! Enjoy the blessings y’all have of a temple literally in your back yard and go to the temple!!

Week 82: Pday Again!! 12/11/2023

Howdy everybody! How are yall? Hope life is treating you well! Well I know it's only been a few days but today is pday again!!

This weekend was pretty eventful! We found another family of members that didn't know the church was here in San Jorge so we went and taught them and now are trying to reactivate them!

We've been focusing really hard on our friends with baptismal dates who are all doing well!

Church yesterday was great! Two inactive members came back after over 15 years of not going to church, and 3 of our friends came as well!!

Oh ya I gotta tell yall about a miracle that we had on Saturday night on our way back to the house. We were walking in the park, in a hurry because we were running late, and a guy named Juan stopped us and asked us why we are here. I told him to help others come unto christ and he said how he saw a facebook page called come unto christ and saw a picture of people in white clothes being baptized. He then said, I want you to baptize me! We said absolutely, and told he needed to come to church! He was one of the 3 friends that came to church on Sunday!!

Like I always say the work is going good! I think the Lord has made it known that we are needed here in San Jorge. I love the Gospel, I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and I love all of you! Have a wonderful week!!

Love, Élder Weese

Week 79: El Bautismo De Leandro!! 11/13/2023

Howdy everybody!! How was your week? I hope all is well back home!! I love yall!!

This week was really good!! Really focusing ourselves hard on getting everything prepared for Leandros baptism!! For those of you who don't know Leandro, he was a leader from an Evangelist church who we found about a month ago and became converted by reading and praying about the book of mormon. An absolute miracle!!

His baptism was on Saturday and his confirmation was on Sunday and it all went so perfectly!! We had his baptism in María Teresa's backyard, who is the older lady we baptized a month ago. She has a pool, and a really nice house so it all just went so well!! It was such a cool experience!! The mission president and his wife came over to see the baptism! They spoke a little bit at the baptism as well! There were 14 people there!! Crazy!!

The next day at his confirmation, we had about 11 people. It was really cool to be a part of helping Leandro follow his Savior. Leandro that same night, left with us to go teach some of our friends. He also showed us a bunch of other places to go too!! He is a disciple of Jesus Christ.

I can't really remember all that much from this week because I am just still blown away with the miracle of Leandro! I know that this is the work of our God, and He wants ALL of His children to come back into his rest. We all need to put our hand to the plow, and be apart of this great work!

I love you all!! You're in my prayers everyday. I want you to remember how much your Savior loves each of you. I know that He paid the price for our sins, He did it freely. Come unto Him, and He will give you rest!! I promise you that He will!!

Have a wonderful week!
